The 2010 Naugatuck Valley River Race, 5K and Festival
was Great!! Saturday, May 8th 2010

We had a great race this year considering that the morning weather was
looking ominous as we did have some rain and lighting flashes early.
However during the race meeting the "Paddling Gods" were with us and
a glimmer of sun started burning through the clouds and from there on
the weather just got better and better. We did have lower than normal
riverwater but our racers power through it. The Festival had great Live
music all day, a Flight Simulator, Bounce House, Climbing Wall, many very
tasty food vendors and it appeared everyone had a great time. We,
Connecticut Outdoors LLC, gave out items during the day, including a
2010 Dagger Axis 12.0 Kayak ($900.00 value) at the conclusion of the
events to one very happy guy!

This year we teamed up with a local charity adding a 5K Road Race
(run or walk) to our Race Event along with Food Vendors, Music
and Entertainment. This partnership allowed us to put on a better
Race event with the "Pooled" efforts of both River race and 5K. The
River Race &  5K event Tee shirt had custom artwork and the Race
Sponsors prominently listed on the back. Please contact us to be
added as a 2011 Race Sponsor and help us all support the
Naugatuck River and Valley Charities!  Thanks again for all your
continued support!!

* The NVRR is a USCA sanctioned race event *
