mission is to introduce, educate and expand the relaxing and
enjoyable sport of recreational Kayaking and Canoeing along with
other paddle sports to our friends in the Central Connecticut area. No
matter what age, physical ability, or skill level we will be happy to
explain the sport and provide free expert advice and options that best
fit your type of paddling in a relaxing and pressure free environment.
We offer many different types of Kayaks and Canoes from single to
tandem models so you can take along your best friend. Not sure
about buying? We also have several rental units at reasonable daily,
weekend and weekly rates or take one camping with you! Please

What We Do;

Connecticut Outdoors, LLC offers several
different lines of Kayaks, Canoes, and Paddle
sport accessories. We are located in the
historic "Old Pin Shop" building in Oakville next
to CrossFit Watertown (which is gaining a great
space accross the street it's a great program and well
worth their free trial!!) We passed on the glamour
of a storefront for the functionality and cost
savings of warehouse space passing on the
savings to our customers.

We offer the largest and most diverse inventory
in the area including Wilderness Systems

Kayaks, Mad River Canoes, Ranger Canoes,

The Emotion Glide is our best seller as a Recreational boat.
This entry level boat was picked as "Recreational Kayak of
the Year" by Paddling Magazine - it's a light 37 lbs and super
stable and maneuverable. Please see their Links below to

BASSYAKS? Kayak fishing anyone? We are now a
authorized BassYak Dealer, BassYaks are practical
motorized Kayaks available in conversion kits or installed
on your choice of boat. (click on the link below to learn more
about them).

This Spring will bring another year of the "Bantam Shuttle".
This is a free shuttle service that will drop off Kayaks and
Canoes to the launch spots on the Bantam River or Bantam
Lake (free with a minimum of four boats rented and prepaid)
otherwise there will be a modest delivery fee $40 for 1 boat
and down to $20 for each additional boat up to four then it's
free.  Here's how it works; renters will prepay via phone
with a credit card and their boats will be delivered and
picked up at an agreed time. We are happy to now offer this
shuttle as it was a result of many customer requests for this
service. (A boat inspection sheet, waiver and assumption of risk
along with a statement of responsibility are all required to be signed
by all parties renting).
